The SUNS finally showed some toughness playing the same level of intensity from 1st qtr. to the 4th. Marcus Banks who came from the bench mainly to guard Allen Iverson scored 23 pts.????? 7 of 8 shooting beyond the arc? Now this looks like the better SUNS 2 years ago when they were without Amare Stoudemire where they live and die on outside shooting, particularly beyond the arc. This game the SUNS shot 20-31 on the three point area 5 of them came from Marion in the first half who helped built the double digit lead to demolish the Nuggets 137-115.
Now I can only hope that Banks will continue to play well as they will need him to rest Nash and/or Bell. Diaw is still terrible, missing 6 of 8 attempts and I don't know what's really wrong with him. They should send him to the D-League!!!!!!!!!. Next up is the Indiana Pacers.... Let's see if the team can shoot more from the long distance.

Meeting Melo and AI
The SUNS are going to play against one of the hottest team in the NBA on Monday(PST), the Denver Nuggets led by Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson. And just like the way they handled the Lakers and Hornets last season, the SUNS are successful at beating this team in the 2006-2007 regular season, but will they still be this time around, or will the NUGGETS pass eclipse the Suns, the way NO and LA did?
This game will feature several match-up problems for the SUNS specially in the post where the Nuggets got Kenyon Martin, Camby and Nene. The battle at the point guard position in the defensive end will also be difficult because of Allen Iverson who has been hot the past few games. The Nuggets is a team that is capable of stepping on the gas just like the SUNS so this game will be never be an easy one.
Shawn Marion must step up offensively for the SUNS and THEY SHOULD GO TO AMARE MORE OFTEN!!!!!!! The SUNS are unbeatable this season when Amare reaches more than 20pts and 10rbs a game(isn't it obvious coach????). I just hope Mike D' Antoni will not mess up this time. I would like to see DJ Strawberry play if Bell is not around for defensive purposes.

Trouble in the WEST
The SUNS started the season building a team that is ready to overtake the western powerhouse teams like the SPURS to the NBA Finals. Even if they rank 2nd in the WESTERN conference(23-10), the team is 2-6 against playoff contenders(SPURS,MAVS,LAKERS,HORNETS,JAZZ and WARRIORS) loosing a combine of 4 games against the Hornets and Lakers early this season. Although they were able to beat last seasons WESTERN CONFERENCE finalist -SPURS and JAZZ, many suns whiners(including me) are still not satisfied with their performance although there are still almost 4 months to conclude the regular season and more than 50 basketball games to play.
We'll see what happens next as tension arises in the team when Amare didn't practice Sunday(PST) for some reasons and trade deadline nearing it's end. I just thought that they must win against Nuggets(Jan.7), Jazz(Jan. 10), Lakers(Jan.17) and Spurs(Jan. 31) specially that game versus the Lakers.
